<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for warning on hi-pass lane to tollgate, which is configured to warn the entrance of a high-pass vehicle to a driver if the vehicle is traveling on a high-pass lane in case an electronic toll payment system is not available by determining whether the lane on which the vehicle is traveling is a high-pass lane or not. Here, an apparatus for warning on hi-pass lane comprises: a system usage determining part to determine whether a high-pass apparatus for vehicle can use an electronic toll payment system; a lane determining part to acquire an image from an apparatus which is filming the front of a vehicle and determine whether a lane on which the vehicle is currently traveling is a high-pass lane based on acquired image; and a warning part to warn a driver to stop the entrance into a high-pass lane when a vehicle is traveling on the high-pass lane if the vehicle cannot use an electronic toll payment system.</p> |
