PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing base material which has water resistance to allow the base material to be used outdoors, and also has high strength, opacity, heat resistance, durability and suitability to printing.SOLUTION: The printing base material is provided in which at least one surface of a polyester nonwoven fabric having an average fiber diameter of 1-30 μm and a basis weight of 40-150 g/m, and subjected to partial thermocompression bonding and/or flattening includes a resin layer having a total amount of coating of 5-80 g/m. The printing base material has a thickness of 0.1-0.3 mm, a mass per unit area of 45-200 g/m, a water absorption speed according to JIS-L-1907 (a dripping method) of ≥3 min, an opacity of ≥70%, a dimensional change ratio at 200°C of ≤5%, a tear strength of ≥1 N, and a surface ruggedness of 5-150 μm. |
