<p>The present invention provides a socket connector which reliably performs electromagnetic shielding on integral body of a contact that transmits high-frequency signals in a manner that a shielding cover with respectively grounded engaging cylinders that surround the periphery of the contact part of the contact covers the feet of the contact that project backwards from an insulating housing. Through insertion holes of the insulating housing which covers the peripheral surface of the engaging cylinders, one part of each engaging cylinder becomes an exposed part which faces the outside, so that the exposed part is mounted from outside of the insulating housing and contacts with the shielding cover which covers integral feet of the contact.</p> |
