The commercial vehicle such as forklift (10) has drive motor for providing driving force and a programmable electronic control arrangement (12) for switching on or off of the work or operating function based on the parameter data set. A data memory (14) stores vehicle-related data. The control arrangement reads the vehicle-relevant data from the data memory via data link (16) or writes the data relevant to the vehicle in the data memory so as to upgrade the vehicle-related data in the data memory. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) method for parameterization of control arrangement; and (2) method for ensuring parameter integrity and parameter compatibility of control arrangement.
