<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water depth adjusting device for underwater equipment, which can adjust the water depth of the underwater equipment under water in a short time in an easy, reliable and safe manner. <P>SOLUTION: An anchor 33 disposed on the bottom of water 2a and an air diffusion hole member 7 retained under water are connected by a link chain 34, and a float 35 for providing buoyancy is attached to the air diffusion hole member 7. The link chain 34 is set to have an extra length allowing the adjustment of the water depth of the air diffusion hole member 7. A link part 34a at the front end of the link chain 34 is detachably locked by an anchor-side locking metal fitting 46 of the anchor 33 (or a base-side locking metal fitting 44 of the base 36 of the air diffusion hole member 7) by a locking tool 47 (or 44).
