A biometric camera system for a mobile device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a near infrared light source flashing a user of the mobile device with near infrared light during image capture; a biometric camera arranged on the mobile device offset from the near infrared light source; and a processor receiving video images of iris of the user, and matching the video images with images registered in advance and stored in iris database, so that if the matching result is matched up, the user is authenticated. |
