The present invention relates to a producing method of activated sericite and a removing method of cesium using the same, wherein the producing method of activated sericite comprises: a preparation step for finely crushing sericite, separating the crushed sericite by using a sieve shaker, and collecting the separated sericite in a mesh size of 300-600 to prepare fine sericite particles; a firing and acidic treating step for firing the fine sericite particles under a high temperature of 700-900°C for three to five hours, heat-treating the fired fine sericite particles, and making the fine sericite particles react with a strong acid solution at a temperature of 100°C for one or more hours to activate the surface of the sericite; a sericite slurry neutralization and drying step for treating the acidic treated sericite with an alkali solution, washing the sericite until the sericite has neutral pH, and drying the neutralized slurry sericite; an activated sericite completing step for crushing the dried sericite again with a crusher and obtaining fine activated sericite particles. According to the present invention, it is possible to effectively absorb and remove cesium from cesium contaminated wastewater by using the activated sericite. |
