A light emitting device 1 comprises a container (2, Fig. 1), a PCB 3 disposed inside the container, an LED 4 mounted on the PCB 3, and a reflector member 5. The reflector member defines an enclosure area 6 within which the LED 4 is disposed. A first encapsulating material 7 is disposed in the container and encapsulates the PCB 3 and a second encapsulating material 8 is disposed in the enclosure area 6 and encapsulates the LED 4. The second encapsulating material 8 is transparent. |
