<p>A shock attenuation system for IT components comprises an equipment rack 1 for receiving the IT components, the rack has mounting posts 10 mounted on shock mounts 2 within an outer frame 3. Each of the mounting posts may be individually mounted on shock mounts which secure the equipment rack to the outer frame. The equipment rack may be rigid and may comprise rigid corner posts which extend beyond the top and bottom of the frame. The shock mounts provide vertical and horizontal movement of the rack within the outer frame to deflect or absorb any shocks encountered during transportation of the equipment racks.</p> |
