PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure stabilized voltage characteristics over a long term and to enhance the life property.SOLUTION: In the operation method of a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell system comprising a reaction gas supply section including a fuel gas system performing supply and discharge of fuel gas containing hydrogen and an oxidant gas system performing supply and discharge of oxidant gas for a fuel cell stack 201, a power circuit obtaining power by connecting the fuel cell stack and an external load conductively, and a control section performing the setting of operation conditions of additional apparatus including the reaction gas supply section or the power circuit, or maintenance and correction of the operation state by monitoring, the system is operated while adding a reducing gas always into the oxidant gas, supplied to the fuel cell stack during continuous power generation, through the piping 304 for adding reducing gas. |
