<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing-in device that controls deterioration of force for drawing-in a paper feed tray while reducing a speed of drawing-in the paper feed tray, to reliably draw the paper feed tray in a normal placing position, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The drawing-in device 70 includes: a first spring 713 and a second spring 714 for generating the drawing-in force for drawing the paper feed tray in a set position; a first lever 710 turning according to the drawing-in of the paper feed tray; a first gear 711 rotated in synchronization with the movement of the first lever 710; a third gear 721 and a speed dependent damper 722 for generating decelerating force for reducing the speed of drawing-in the paper feed tray; and a second gear 720 coupled to the third gear 721 and also engaged with the first gear 711. The drawing-in device further includes a cutout 711a that is formed by cutting out the first gear 711 on a radially inward side of the gear so as to disengage the engagement between the first gear 711 and the second gear 720 immediately before the paper feed tray reaches the set position when the paper feed tray is drawn-in. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
