<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cooling a hot steel plate which has straight tube type nozzles and provides a stable flow of cooling water which is jetted to the upper surface of the steel plate from the nozzle. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for cooling the hot steel plate includes a header 7 and a plurality of straight tube type nozzles 8 which are connected with the header 7 at a predetermined space in the width direction of the hot steel plate and which supply cooling water 11 to the upper surface of the hot steel plate. In the apparatus, a sleeve 14 having three or more holes each having a fluid channel cross section of 5-20% of the fluid channel cross section of the nozzle is attached to the upper end of the nozzle 8. The cooling water 11 is put into the holes, thereby supplying it as a stabilized laminar flow to the upper surface of the hot steel plate by jetting the cooling water 11 from the nozzles 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
