摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for production of a polyester resin.SOLUTION: A composition for production of a polyester resin has a mole ratio of a diol compound to a dicarboxylic acid composition of 1.05-1.4 and contains, by mass, 5-50 ppm, based on the P element, of a phosphorus compound, 10-40 ppm, based on the Co element, of a cobalt compound, 0.2-20 ppm of a hue improvement agent and (5-25)/(3-30) ppm, based on Ti/Ge element mass ratio, of a titanium-germanium composite catalyst compound. The composition for production of a polyester resin is harmless to the human body and environment-friendly and has a higher intrinsic viscosity than those of compositions using a conventional titanium catalyst compound, leading to an improved reaction rate in solid-phase polymerization and decrease of occurrence of acetaldehyde by thermal decomposition.</p>
