<p>Disclosed is an economical and efficient method for manufacturing an olefin copolymer having a hydroxyl group. This method for manufacturing an olefin copolymer having a hydroxyl group is characterized by including the following steps 1-3. Step 1: a step wherein a double-bond-containing alkoxy compound (M) expressed by formula (3) is manufactured by causing a reaction between a double-bond-containing carboxylic acid derivative (E) expressed by formula (0) and a compound (A) expressed by formula (2). Step 2: a step wherein a metal atom-containing olefin copolymer (P') is manufactured by copolymerizing the compound (M) obtained in the step 1 and an olefin (L) in the presence of a transition metal catalyst. Step 3: a step wherein the copolymer (P') obtained in the step 2 is processed with a proton donor compound and converted into an olefin copolymer (P) having a hydroxyl group. (0) (2) (3)</p> |
