<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a high-speed search for a location of a directory entry in which a newly created file is recorded. <P>SOLUTION: If there is not a directory entry that is not used even once in newly creating a file in a directory, a reusable directory entry is searched for by using location information (a cluster number 109 and an offset 110) of directory entries of deleted files, and the directory entry is reused.
