Test device for testing the quality of a paint or varnish layer

The apparatus has a friction body movement device for moving a friction body (1) that is in frictional contact with a testing region of a color or paint layer along a defined trajectory. The movement device avoids the frictional contact between the friction body and the testing region during movement of the friction body. The movement device comprises a gripper i.e. suction gripper, to releasably fasten to the friction body. The friction body comprises a convex friction surface (1a), and is formed in bulged disk, overload or half overload shape. An independent claim is also included for a testing method for checking quality of a color or paint layer.
