<p>[Subject] A diesel engine capable of suppressing the entrance of an engine oil in an injection pump is provided. [Solution] In a diesel engine configured such that: a fuel injection case (2) is formed with a cylinder block (1) integrally; a fuel injection pump (3) and a fuel injection cam shaft (4) are accommodated in the fuel injection case (2); the fuel injection cam shaft (4) is installed in a lower side of the fuel injection pump (3); a crank case (6) and the fuel injection case (2) are connected with a connecting path (5) which is disposed at a side of a cylinder part (9) of the fuel injection case (2) so that an engine oil lifted up to a crank shaft (7) may be introduced into the fuel injection case (2) through the connecting path (5), wherein an outlet upward cover part (8) is equipped, and the outlet upward cover part (8) protrudes from a case wall (2a) at a side of the cylinder part (9) of the fuel injection case (2) over a connecting path outlet (5a) located in an upper side of the connecting path (5).</p> |
