A steering system (1) includes a rack shaft (6) passing through a housing (3). A first pinion (7) of a first pinion shaft (8) for transmission of steering auxiliary force meshes with a first rack (4) of the rack shaft (6), and a second pinion (9) of a second pinion shaft (10) for transmission of manual steering effort meshes with a second rack (5) of the rack shaft (6). The pinion shafts (8, 10) are placed in parallel to each other. A first rack bush (16) is placed between the pinion shafts (8, 10) in terms of an axial direction (X1) of the rack shaft (6). The first rack bush (16) is held by the housing (3) so as to support the rack shaft (6) slidably in the axial direction (X1), and limits a movement of the rack shaft (6) in a direction parallel (Y1) to both of the pinion shafts (8, 10). |
