PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method capable of significantly improving thermal efficiency of furnace facilities such as a hot blast stove, a coke oven, and a heating furnace in an iron mill.SOLUTION: In a furnace facility where combustion heat of fuel gas is used for a thermal source, combustion air and/or fuel gas is preheated by heat obtained by condensing sunlight when using by-product gas generated in an iron-making process as the fuel gas. The use of the sunlight for preheating the combustion air and/or fuel gas results in: increasing preheating temperature by increasing a light condensing amount, as compared to conventional methods; reducing a fuel consumption rate of the furnace facility; and significantly improving the thermal efficiency of the furnace facility. |
