<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion control device and a method for avoiding discharge of toxic exhaust gas and unstable combustion in a load variation transitional period, by correcting the fuel injection timing, by predicting an ignition delay by using the air excessive ratio and the intake oxygen concentration of a diesel engine. <P>SOLUTION: The combustion control device includes an EGR device, a control device 41 for controlling the diesel engine 1 based on operation information, an air flowmeter for measuring an intake quantity of a turbocharger 7, a rotating speed sensor, a temperature sensor 44 and a pressure sensor 46 for detecting the intake air temperature and air supply pressure in an air supply manifold 15, and an accelerator opening sensor 35 for detecting a load. The control device 41 compares a value arithmetically operated by an actual ignition delay arithmetic operation means for arithmetically operating an actual ignition delay by using the air excessive ratio and the intake oxygen concentration, with a value arithmetically operated by a reference ignition delay arithmetic operation means having a map for calculating an ignition delay in reference operation from an engine speed and a fuel injection quantity, and corrects the fuel injection timing based on the difference between the values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
