<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing a four-sided seal package, capable of increasing a filling rate of an article to be filled into the package and improving productivity of the package. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing apparatus 1, molding guides 6a, 6b are provided at upper sides of a pair of seal rolls 3, 3b, respectively. The molding guides 6a, 6b comprise longitudinal seal guide parts 61 guiding longitudinally sealed parts of a pair of film materials F in such a manner that the longitudinally sealed parts of the pair of film materials F are adjacent to each other; and filling part guide parts 62 formed in such a manner that a supply port part 431 may be inserted therethrough and guiding parts other than the longitudinally sealed parts of the pair of film materials F.
