<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output time series data of a proper vehicle speed without unnatural changes even in a state where a vehicle is traveling at a low speed, a state where the vehicle is stationary, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: An instantaneous value of a vehicle speed is calculated on the basis of a length of a generation period of a vehicle speed pulse, and a travel start state is detected when a state where one or more pulses are detected within a first time period is repeated continuously a prescribed number of times (S13). A travel end state is detected when a state where no pulses are detected at all within a second time period is repeated continuously a prescribed number of times (S17). Validity of data relating to the instantaneous value of the vehicle speed is discriminated on the basis of detection results of the travel start state and the travel end state and is reflected (S14 and S18), and information on the vehicle speed generated on the basis of the instantaneous value of the vehicle speed is displayed or recorded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
