<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device that achieves a good balance between the prevention of a decrease in drivability when a vehicle coasts along a road and the protection of a clutch. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device includes: an engine; and a clutch connecting the engine with the driving wheels of the vehicle, and for controlling engagement degree. The vehicle control device allows the vehicle to coast along a road by releasing the clutch (S2), performs, when the vehicle coasts along a downslope (S3-Y), engagement control for controlling the engagement degree of the clutch by making the clutch engaged instead of releasing the clutch (S4, S5), and inhibits the engagement control based on a heat generation amount of the clutch (S7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
