<p>Disclosed are a device and a method for controlling a load of a power system which can accurately calculate the amount of loads to be interrupted by acquiring information about generators interrupted in real time in interrupting loads to recover stability when a contingency event occurs in a power system. The device for controlling a load of a power system according to the present invention comprises: a data collection unit to collect real-time power system data from SCADA/EMS supporting time synchronization; a generator interruption information generation unit to generate generator interruption information, which is information about whether generators are interrupted or the number of the interrupted generators when a contingency event occurs in a power system, by using the power data collected by the data collection unit; and a load interruption information generation unit to generate load interruption information, which is information about the amount of loads interrupted when the contingency event occurs, based on the power data and the generator interruption information.</p> |
