In a method of tracking an object, a plurality of images of a target object is obtained and a super-resolved image of the target object is calculated from the plurality of images which may include averaging all regions of interest in the plurality of images that are the same phase and/or extracting frame portions from the image and storing said portions in a stack. A further image of the target object is then obtained which is correlated with the super-resolved image, in order to identify the location of the target object in the further image. The correlation may be in the spatial or frequency domain and prior to any correlation the super resolution image may be de-resolved. |
