<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder supply device capable of favorably opening/closing a discharge port opening/closing member with time, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A powder supply device includes a locking member for locking a discharge port opening/closing member, provided in a device body so as to displace between a locking position for locking the discharge port opening/closing member and a release position retracted from the locking position and releasing the locking of the discharge port opening/closing member. In conjunction with the mounting operation of a powder storage container, the discharge port opening/closing member is slid with respect to the powder storage container to open a powder discharge port, and the locking member is displaced from the release position to the locking position to lock the discharge port opening/closing member. In conjunction with the retracting operation of the powder storage container, the powder discharge port reaches a position facing the discharge port opening/closing member, after the powder discharge port is closed by the discharge port opening/closing member, the locking member comes into contact with the powder storage container, energized and displaced from the locking position to the release position, thus releasing the locking of the discharge port opening/closing member by the locking member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
