摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a birefringence phase-matching wavelength conversion device capable of highly efficiently reducing walk-off with a small number of plates, and to provide a method for easily manufacturing the birefringence phase-matching wavelength conversion device having a high conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The birefringence phase-matching wavelength conversion device includes a plurality of plates joined with each other and comprising nonlinear optical crystals whose c axis is inclined to the thickness direction in a plane parallel to the thickness direction. The plurality of plates are so arranged that the c axis directions of the mutually adjoining plates are planarly symmetric to joining surfaces. In the plurality of plates, thicknesses of plates located between an incident-side plate at an incident-side end of laser light and an emission-side plate at an emission-side end for emitting harmonic of the laser light are the same and the thickness of the incident-side plate and the emission-side plate is 1/2 of the thickness of the plates located between the incident-side plate and the emission-side plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
