An in-vehicle apparatus mounting unit 101 having switches 21a and 21b projecting into a cabin interior includes: a cluster panel 10 provided to face the cabin interior; a front case 20 for supporting the switches 21a and 21b while the switches 21a and 21b are made to project from the cluster panel 10; and a rear case 30 that is attached to the cluster panel 10 on an opposite side to the cabin and accommodates the front case 20 in a space 30a formed thereby together with the cluster panel 10. The front case 20 is fixed to the cluster panel 10 by means of an engagement between a first engagement projection 23a and a first engagement hole 13a, and the engagement between the first engagement projection 23a and the first engagement hole 13a is released when a load pushing the switch 21a or 21b toward the cluster panel 10 exceeds a predetermined load.
