<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folded-plate roof retainer that is excellently adaptive to thermal expansion and contraction of a roof plate material in a length direction, i.e. in a flow direction of a folded-plate roof, the roof plate material being long in the length direction. <P>SOLUTION: The folded-plate roof retainer comprises a casing 1, a first roller 2 and a second roller 3, a belt-like forming band 4, and a belt-like resistance force band 3. A guide member 6 is provided on a rolamite spring unit A constituted by providing the first roller 2 and second roller 3 rotatably on horizontal axes respectively, fixing one end and the other end of the forming band 4 between one side of a lower surface side of an upper plate 11 and the other side of an upper surface side of a lower plate 12, and winding an intermediate part of the forming band 4 discrepantly between the first roller 2 and second roller 3. A shaft part of the first roller 2 or second roller 3 and the guide member 6 are provided slidably in the casing 1 through laterally long holes 15 formed on both sides of the casing 1.
