<p>The present invention provides a method for producing an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer having an excellent balance between density and molecular weight at a polymerization temperature of 100 to 300˚C, which is an industrially advantageous temperature, using an olefin polymerization catalyst having excellentα-olefin copolymerization performance. A method for producing an olefin polymer according to the present invention comprises carrying out the copolymerization of ethylene and anα-olefin at a polymerization temperature of 110˚C or higher using an olefin polymerization catalyst containing a component (A) and a component (B) and optionally containing a component (C). The component (A): a crosslinked metallocene compound represented by general formula [I]; the component (B): a compound or an ion-exchanging layered silicate which can react with the component (A) to form an ion pair; and the component (C): an organoaluminum compound.</p> |
