A spinning method for producing a spun yarn (Y) from a fiber bundle (F) by using an air spinning device (6) is proposed. The air spinning device (6) includes a spinning chamber (SC) in which fibers are swung, a fiber guide (61) in which a fiber introducing passage (61g) communicating with the spinning chamber (SC) is defined, and a spindle (62) in which a fiber passageway (62s) for passage of the fibers swung in the spinning chamber (SC) is defined. In the air spinning device (6) the spindle (62) and the fiber guide (61) are separated by a predetermined distance selected dependent on an average fiber length of the fiber bundle (F). |
