The device has a bus control device (14) coupled with a bus (11). A control unit (21) controls transmission of data as a data voltage signal (DS) over a transmission line (12) and a receiving line (13). A supply unit (22) supplies data-voltage signal (DS) to the transmission line with supply voltage signals that serves for voltage supply of devices of a cabin management system of an aircraft. Another supply unit (28) supplies the data-voltage signal to the receiving line with supply voltage signals that serves for voltage supply of devices of reading lamp system of the aircraft. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmitting data and energy over devices e.g. network nodes and end devices, of a determined network an aircraft.
