<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for determining a degradation of a high voltage battery for a vehicle. According to the present invention, the apparatus for determining a degradation of a high voltage battery for a vehicle minimizes a battery degradation estimation error by measuring the degree of degradation of the battery according to a preset estimation calculation. According to the present invention, it is possible to estimate the degree of degradation of the battery by calculating a battery capacity by using only a current value and an SOC change value, thereby simplifying an estimation algorithm. Specifically, after the degree of degradation of the battery is estimated through a first estimation algorithm, it is determined whether to perform re-estimation by comparing the estimated degree of degradation of the battery with a threshold value. When it is determined to perform the re-estimation, the degree of degradation of the battery is re-estimated through a second estimation algorithm using a least square method, thereby minimizing an error of the estimated degree of degradation of the battery.</p> |
