The present disclosure is generally directed to a portable docking station having a frame, a handle and a counterweight, that receives a portable electronic device. The portable docking station may include one or more physical features that enable the portable docking station to be held in the hand or hands of a user, and for the portable electronic device to be used while docked.

an elongated handle having a proximal end and a distal end; a frame configured releasably to hold a portable electronic device, the frame physically coupled to the distal end of the handle; an input device configured to be communicatively coupled to the portable electronic device and physically coupled to the handle; and a counterweight physically coupled to the proximal end of the handle.
