Disclosed are a backlight assembly and a liquid-crystal display device. The backlight assembly includes a light guide plate; a base substrate arranged on one surface facing a light-emitting surface of the light guide plate; and a rear surface plate arranged on one surface of the light guide plate along the edge of the base substrate. An edge-type light source is arranged on one surface of the rear surface plate facing the light guide plate. The rear surface plate is pivotally connected to the base substrate through a rotary shaft, and rotates around the rotary shaft. |
