The invention relates to a liquid pharmaceutical composition, in the form of a suspension of micronized powder of active substance in an acceptable physiological liquid medium, stabilized over time, for administration via the oral route.

A pharmaceutical composition intended for administration via the oral route, comprising a suspension of a micronized powder of meloxicam, or salts thereof, as a sole active ingredient, dispersed in a physiological medium comprising about 0.01 to 1% by mass of a polysaccharide polymer selected from the group consisting of carrageenans, xanthans, guars and alginic acid derivatives, and 0.1 to 2% by mass of a micronized powder of silicon oxide, wherein the pharmaceutical substance has a solubility of less than 500 mg/L in the dispersion medium at ambient temperature, and wherein the composition does not comprise any derivatives of cellulose ethers.
