The system (100) has a voltage source (102) formed by a battery (+BAT) of a motor vehicle for supplying a voltage to an electronic circuit (108) when an on-off switch (101) is in a closed position. Electrochemical capacitors (104, 105) are parallely mounted on the source when the switch is in the closed position. The circuit supplies power to an electrical machine (M), and has a precharge circuit (114) connected to the source when another on-off switch (+APC) is closed. The former on-off switch is controlled for being closed after precharging the capacitors.
