The present invention relates to a cooking appliance. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cooking appliance having a carbon heater of shielding an electromagnetic wave and an improved radiant heat function. The cooking appliance according to the present invention includes: a cooking room which provides a space for cooking food; a magnetron which emits microwaves to the interior space of the cooking room; and a heater which emits heat to the interior space of the cooking room. A shield member for preventing the reactivity of the microwaves emitted from the magnetron surrounds the outside of the heater. Heat from the heater is emitted to the cooking room through an opening part of the cooking room. Therefore, the heater can be protected from the microwaves and the radiation efficiency of radiant heat emitted from the heater is maximized. |
