<p>A corner protector for building pillars is disclosed. It comprises an elongated angular body with extended flange which can be fastened to each corner of the building pillar to protect it from chipping-off and to embellish its appearance by providing a sleek and elegant cover. The angular body has predetermined length and width, and is formed from a one-piece sheet material which is bent longitudinally at right angle to define a first major panel and a second major panel. The first major panel is further bent at right angle to form a first minor panel which is relatively narrow compared to the major panel, said first minor panel being bent at right angle to form a flange provided with spaced apart apertures to accommodate fastening means. Similarly, the second major panel is bent as in the first major panel to form a second minor panel and a flange with similarly spaced apart apertures to accommodate fastening means to hold and secure the corner protector to the building pillar. Appropriate cladding material and grout are then applied to finally secure the corner protector.</p> |
