<p>Disclosed is an adaptive video streaming method, wherein, in a mobile streaming system, video data acquired from a camera of a video producing smartphone terminal is streamed into a server via a wireless network; the server allows the acquired video data to be streamed into another user terminal which is a video reproducing smartphone terminal via the wireless network again; video reproducing smartphone terminal instantly reproduces the received video data; and the video producing smartphone terminal compares the amount of data which is stored in its own transmitting buffer with a threshold value and considers the condition as a network congestion when the amount of transmitting buffer data exceeds the threshold value, eliminates all the stored video data stored in the transmitting buffer, and acquires data with the camera in real-time so as to store video data except for some frames among the compressed video data in the transmitting buffer and adjusts the data transmission rate according to the state of the network. According to the adaptive video streaming method, video is reproduced without disconnection and the quality of the streaming video can be uniformly maintained even in the case that the state of the network dynamically changes when the video data is reproduced by the video reproducing smartphone terminal. Also, since the streaming method detects a network bandwidth change by a simple process which is comparing the amount of data stored in the transmitting buffer of video producing smartphone terminal with the threshold value, a large burden is not given on the video producing smartphone terminal.</p> |
