1. An image generation apparatus generating an image by using light reflected from a subject, the image generation apparatus comprising:
a first filter to transmit light of multiple wavelength bands from the light reflected from the subject; a second filter to selectively transmit light in a select wavelength band from the light of the multiple wavelength bands, according to a control signal; a detection unit to detect a first image by photo-electrically converting the light of the multiple wavelength bands and detect a second image by photo-electrically converting the light in the select wavelength band; and an image processing unit to generate a color image and a depth image by using a difference image, obtained by subtracting the second image from the first image, and the second image.
