An endoscopy system provided with: an endoscope, the insertion part of which can be inserted into a prescribed organ in a subject; an imaging unit that is provided to the endoscope and captures images of the inside of the prescribed organ; an imaging information acquisition unit that detects position information and sight-line information for the imaging unit; an expanded image generation unit for generating a planar model image by expanding a model image corresponding to the prescribed organ in a plane; and an image application/presentation unit that applies images of the inside of the prescribed organ to the planar model image generated by the expanded image generation unit on the basis of the position information for the imaging unit, and changes the presentation method for the planar model image on the basis of the position information.
