摘要 The present invention provides a small fluorescent-light-source device including a fluorescent wheel that can suppress temperature quenching and exhibits superior heat discharge properties. The fluorescent light source device according to the present invention is provided with a rotary-driven fluorescent wheel and is characterized in that: the fluorescent wheel contains a fluorescent body plate that is excited by an excitation light so as to generate fluorescent light; and a dielectric multilayer film, which transmits the excitation light and reflects the fluorescent light generated by the fluorescent body plate, is formed on an excitation light receiving surface of the fluorescent body plate. In addition, part of the wavelength region of the fluorescent light generated by the fluorescent body plate overlaps with the wavelength region of the light that excites the fluorescent body plate, and it is preferable for the dielectric multilayer film to exhibit a spectral reflection rate characteristic that reflects light within said part of the wavelength region of the fluorescent light. In addition, it is preferable for a recessed and protruded structure for emitting fluorescent light to be formed on a fluorescent light radiating surface of the fluorescent wheel.
