<p>A server with processor (s) and memory receives a first instruction from a user to initiate a recording process for sending a voice message to a recipient. During the recording process, the server : obtains at least a first portion of the voice message from the user; performs speech-to-text processing to convert the first portion of the voice message to a first text portion; provides the first text portion to the user for display; and, after providing the first text portion to the user, receives a second instruction from the user to terminate the recording process. In response to receiving the second instruction, the server determines a recipient preference for the voice message and/or a result of the speech-to-text processing. In accordance with a determination that the recipient preference is for the result of the speech-to-text processing, the server provides the first text portion of the voice message to the recipient.</p> |
