<p>A method of providing dynamic text options on a portable electronic device is disclosed. The method includes at the portable electronic device, receiving from a remotely located server, an electronic message through an electronic messaging application, identifying one or more dynamic text phrases within the electronic message, displaying the electronic message on the display, wherein the one or more dynamic text phrases are displayed visually different from the rest of the electronic message, detecting a user input on a first of the one or more dynamic text phrases. The method includes, in response to detecting the user input on the first dynamic text phrase, displaying a list of dynamic text options, including a first dynamic text option that performs a first action using the first dynamic text phrase and a second dynamic text option that performs the first action and a second action using the first dynamic text phrase.</p> |
