<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nasal brain function regulator containing plant extract as an active ingredient which can regulate brain function efficiently by ascertaining the effect of the plant extract against the brain function, and to provide a method for determining or regulating the activity of the brain function.SOLUTION: The invention provides a nasal brain function regulator, which acts on a specific portion in a subject's brain using the sense of smell, and activates or suppresses the activity of the specific portion of the brain, containing plant extract as an active ingredient. The invention also provides a method for providing the data for treating cranial nerve disease or regulating the activity of the brain function. The method for providing the data comprises administering the nasal brain function regulator nasally, and detecting and mapping the volume of blood for each portion of the brain by near-infrared spectroscopy.</p> |
