<p>Disclosed are a device and a method for extracting feature points to recognize an obstacle using a laser scanner. The device comprises: a laser scanner which is installed in front of a moving object to obtain, in real time, laser scanner data including multiple layers; and a control unit to separate the laser scanner data obtained by the laser scanner into the layers to extract measurement data existing in each layer and to identify feature points of the measurement data to classify a type of an obstacle based on prestored multiple feature points.</p> |
