The purpose of the present invention is to prevent a mixed layer of an electrode material and an insulating material from being formed in the vicinity of the interface between an electrode material layer and an insulating material layer when coating a collector foil with an electrode layer of a lithium-ion secondary battery and then coating the electrode layer with the insulating material that forms a separator. A means for preventing the mixed layer from being formed comprises the steps of: applying an electrode material slurry on the surface of a collector foil by using a first coating section; supplying a solidifying liquid to the electrode material slurry to solidify the surface layer of the electrode material slurry, said solidifying liquid containing a component for precipitating a binder component contained in the electrode material slurry; by using a second coating section, applying an insulating material slurry on the electrode material slurry, the surface layer of which is solidified; and drying the electrode material slurry and the insulating material slurry. An alternative means comprises the steps of: on the surface of a collector foil (EP), applying an electrode material (ES) containing a binding material; on the electrode material (ES), applying an insulating material (IF1) containing a first component for precipitating the binding material; supplying a spray liquid (LIQ) to the electrode material (ES) to solidify the electrode material (ES), said spray liquid (LIQ) containing a second component for precipitating the binding material; and drying the electrode material (ES) and the insulating material (IF1).
