The objective of the present invention is to provide a resin composition which can be suitably used in the production of an optical member and exhibits little change in birefringence due to external force, an optical film obtained using the resin composition, and a liquid crystal display device using the optical film. Provided is a resin composition for an optical material, said resin composition containing a polymer (A) obtained using a (meth)acrylic acid or a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester, and a polyester resin (B), wherein the polyester resin (B) is a polyester resin (B1) which has an aromatic-ring-containing structural unit in the main chain and has a number average molecular weight of 300-5,000, wherein an end of the main chain is blocked by a monocarboxylic acid residue or a monoalcohol residue. |
