An electronic cigarette (100) comprising a housing (110), accommodated within the housing (110), an atomizing component (130) and a liquid reservoir (120) capable of storing a cigarette liquid (160), and a smoke duct (114) formed within the housing (110). A liquid outlet (122) is provided at one end of the liquid reservoir (120). The atomizing component (130) comprises a heating plate (132) capable of adsorbing the cigarette liquid (160). The heating plate (132) is plate-shaped. At least a portion of the surface of the heating plate (132) is exposed in the air within the smoke duct (114). The cigarette liquid (160) is delivered to the heating plate (132) via the liquid outlet (122) and is atomized by the heating plate (132) into smoke. In the electronic cigarette (100), the heating plate (132) is provided with a plate-shaped structure of an enlarged surface area used for adsorbing and atomizing the cigarette liquid (160), thus the heating efficiency is high. Upon being adsorbed onto the heating plate (132), the cigarette liquid (160) can diffuse towards the periphery along the surface of the heating plate (132) to form a heated liquid layer of a uniform thickness. At the same time, the heating plate (132) is capable of heating the heated liquid layer to generate uniform atomized fine particles. Also, at least a portion of the surface of the heating plate is exposed in the air within the smoke duct, and the smoke generated by atomization can be outputted greatly, thus allowing for great atomization effects. |
